The original Prügelpause became a popular online pastime in Germany in 2002. Hosted by Lycos - then one of the country's best-known web portals and search engines - it let friends challenge one another, plan their attacks and defenses, and watch each fight unfold asynchronously.
The browser game was discontinued in 2003, years before Lycos Europe closed most of its portal services in 2009.
Now Prügelpause returns as a completely new game, developed from the ground up for iOS and Android. It brings the tactical mind games and offbeat humor of the original into a modern mobile experience - with new fighters, special attacks, upgrades, leaderboards, and a World Tour mode.
